Domain Rating Checker
Check any domain's Ahrefs Domain Rating on a 0–100 scale.
Domain Rating data by Ahrefs. DR is measured on a 0–100 logarithmic scale.
About Domain Rating Checker
The Domain Rating Checker looks up any website's Domain Rating (DR) — Ahrefs' measure of the strength of a domain's backlink profile on a 0–100 logarithmic scale — using the free Ahrefs public API. DR is one of the quickest ways to size up how authoritative a site is, whether you're vetting a link-building prospect, benchmarking against competitors, or tracking your own growth. Enter a domain and the tool returns its current DR live. Because the data comes from Ahrefs, the domain you enter is sent to Ahrefs to fetch the score (nothing else is stored). Pair it with the Domain Age Checker to judge a domain's history, or the Meta Tag Generator to tune your on-page SEO. Domain Rating data by Ahrefs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good Domain Rating?
DR is relative and logarithmic, so it gets much harder to climb as it rises. As a rough guide, under 20 is low, 20–40 is developing, 40–60 is solid, and 60+ is strong. What matters most is your DR relative to the competitors ranking for your target keywords.
Where does the Domain Rating come from?
It comes from Ahrefs' free public Domain Rating API. This tool sends the domain you enter to Ahrefs and displays the score they return. Domain Rating is a trademark and metric of Ahrefs; use of the data is subject to the Ahrefs Domain Rating License.
Is the Domain Rating Checker free?
Yes. It's free and needs no account or API key. Results are lightly rate-limited and cached to stay within Ahrefs' free-endpoint limits, so very rapid repeated checks of new domains may briefly pause.
How is DR different from Domain Authority (DA)?
DR is Ahrefs' metric and DA is Moz's; both estimate backlink strength on a 0–100 scale but use different indexes and formulas, so the numbers won't match. This tool reports Ahrefs DR.
Is Domain Rating Checker free to use?
Yes. Domain Rating Checker is completely free with no sign-up, no subscription, and no usage limits. Every tool on CodeUtilityKit is free forever.
Is my data safe when I use Domain Rating Checker?
Domain Rating Checker sends only the domain you enter to a third-party data provider to fetch live results. It never asks for personal data, and the domain is not stored beyond a short cache used to speed up repeat lookups.
